Checkmate manufacture and sharpen a wide range of tool and cutters for joinery manufacturers and custom build HSS saws for Aluminium, steel, etc.

We are based throughout New Zealand and Australia with Main manufacturing in Rotorua, New Zealand and Brunswick, Australia.

Quality Control
Quality control systems are in place to ensure all saws are manufactured on time and in specification to customer requirements. Evaluation forms are used to measure level, tension, kerf etc.

Band Saws
Wood bank saw steel is produced by Uddeholm in Sweden; one of the world's largest producers of saw steel. It is manufactured to strict specifciations to give high wear resistance, high fatigue strength and good elasticity resistance.

Circular Saws
Checkmate's circular steel plate comes from Grasche in Germany and Peerless (USA). Both manufacture to very high world class standards.

Wood Knives
Wood Knives are supplied from IKS Klingelnberg Germany. All knives are precision manufactured with accurate heat treatment which allows for extreme flatness, parallelism and edge holding ability that provides hours of continous cutting/chipping to closely controlled thickness.
